BABA BAKALA GURUDWARA, AMRITSAR The historical shrine at Baba Bakala is associated with an important event in Sikh history. Here Makhan Shah Lubana declared from house top that he had found the true Guru. It may be recalled that before his death at Delhi on March30, 1664 Guru Harkrishan mumbled feebly \'Baba Bakala\', thereby meaning that his successor was to be found at Bakala village in Amritsar. On that day, the only Baba at Bakala was Baba Tegh Bahadur and none else. But many imposters tried to grab the Guru Gaddi by posing themselves as the real Guru.

CHAKKI SAHIB GURUDWARA, EMINABAD Janamsakhis also mention Guru Nanak Dev\'s being made a prisoner at the hands of Babar\'s men. He was made to grind corn with a hand-driven millstone (chakki in Punjabi), but his captors were surprised to see that the millstone revolved by itself while the prisoner only poured grist into it. When the miracle was reported to Babar, he himself came the Guru, and after talking to him he set free not only the but all other prisoners too, many of whom became the Guru\'s followers.

Thus spoke Banda Singh Bahadur a great Sikh hero in reply to a question put to him by Mohammad Amin Khan, the author of Siyarul-Mutakherin when he went near him to ask as to why he was waging war against Mughals. Banda Bahadur was tortured to death by order of Mughal King Farrukh Siyar on June 19, 1716 in Mehrauli near Qutab Minar. Earlier he was taken through the streets of Delhi to the shrine of the Sufi Saint Khawaja Bakhtiar Kaki in Mehrauli. He was paraded around the tomb of Emperor Bahadur Shah.
BABEKSAR GURUDWARA, DISTT AMRITSAR Bhai Gurdas laid the foundation of the Gurdwara in 1622. Guru Hargobind established a camp here for his cavalry and soldiers soon after. Guru Hargobind said that anyone who bathed in the pool would receive the benefits of rational thinking (Babek).

Gurudwara Chowbachcha Sahib at Dharampura, Lahore Chowbachcha Sahib bus stop lies between Mughalpura and Dharampura by the canal flowing through Lahore. Chowbachcha Sahib the shrine of Ram Rai Ji is situated in the locality north of this bus stop. It is a spacious building. The main door is very huge. About 200 steps inside the main enterance the passage splits into two lanes. There is a small round door. It is the door of Gurdwara Sahib. There are four similar doors.
BANGLA SAHIB GURUDWARA, ROHTAK This Gurdwara is dedicated to the Ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. He came here in 1675 while going from Jind to Delhi. He stayed at this place for a few days. A well that existed at the time of his visit is also present but has been filled up now. Location This Gurdwara is located on Jind Road, near Mataji Gate. It is about one and a half kms from the Railway Station.
BAD TIRATH SAHIB GURUDWARA, VILLAGE HARIPURA Gurdwara Bad Tirath Sahib is associated with the First Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji as well as the Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. A deep pool of water to the north of the village, was an ancient place of pilgrimage known as Bad Tirath. Guru Nanak Dev Ji along with Bala and Mardana , visited this place during his First Udasi while Guru Gobind Singh Ji came here after the battle of Muktsar. When Guru Nanak Dev Ji came here, a demon, or a rakhsasa, had terrorized the people of village Haripura. The villagers narrated their tale of woe to Guru Ji, who blessed them and told them not to worry hence forth.
