DHILVAN

DHILVAN, a small village 5 km east of Barki (31Â° 28`N, 74Â° 30`E) in Lahore district, is sacred to Guru Hargobind, Nanak VI. Gurdwara Patshahi VI on the eastern outskirts of the village marked the site where the Guru stayed under a pipal tree during his visit to the village. The shrine had to be abandoned at the time of mass migration of Sikhs from the area at the time of the partition of the Punjab in 1947. M.G.S.
