PANCHAMI, lit. the fifth day of either phase {vadior sudi) of the moon. Panchami of the sudi, i.e. the brighter, phase is considered an auspicious day in the Hindu tradition, with some ritualistic observances attached to it. In the three Sikh hymns entitled Thitin/ Thiti devoted to the lunar days
PATANG, BHAI, was a devoted Sikh of the time of Guru Arjan. A hymn in the Guru Granth Sahib entitled Chaubole is commonly ascribed to Bhal Patarig.
PIARA, BHAI, a RandhavaJatt, was a devoted Sikh of the time of Guru Hargobind. When the Guru was under detention in the Gwalior F`ort, Baba Buddha once went there to see him, assigning Bhai Piara to the service of Harimandar Sahib during his absence.
