BHORA SAHIB GURUDWARA( GURU KA MAHAL),ANANDPUR Here Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib used to sit for meditation and for composing hymns. Residence of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur inherited by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji; the Sahibzadas the holy sons of the tenth Guru were born here. There is an underground room cut off from the din of life where the ninth Guru used to meditate. Gurudwara Bhora Sahib, a three-storeyed domed building close to Damdama Sahib, was a part of Guru ke Mahal.
CHANDPUR, village connected by a 4km stretch of link road to Ropar Nangal road near Kotia power house, is sacred to Guru Har Rai (1630-61), who came here on visits several times. Gurdwara Guru Har Rai Sahib marking the site of the Guru`s camp is also known as Gurdwara Nira Sahib (from nira, i.e. fodder for the Guru`s horses). The present three storeyed domed building raised in 1950 has the sanctum on the ground floor. The Gurdwara is affiliated to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, but is managed by the local sangat.
HIRA SINGH, SANT (d. 1949). head priest of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Abchal Nagar, Nandcd, in Maharashtra, was born the son of Bhai Karam Singh of Schna, in Sarigrur district of the Punjab. He received his early education and religious instruction in his village and this allowed him to read the Guru Grantli Sahib felicitously. As he grew up, lie went to Nandcd and settled there for good, serving at the Takht Sahib as a scripturereader.
